ETA2: I'm now up through chapter 12 in an 18 chapter book, and all the changes thus far have been cosmetic: changing fonts, choosing different colors for headings, the occasional slightly rephrased sentence. It's essentially identical except for a few changes that mess enough with page numbers so they no longer match.
