I was wondering if anyone who is doing/has completed this undergrad course could tell me how many contact hours they had in each year? We tend to find that’s about right- preparation takes about 9 hours per module each week, so it’s important not to have too much more than that to do. Tom Roebuck (LDC Admissions Director) Hope that helps! As you go into second/third year it often becomes 3 hour seminars once a week instead of 2 hours and a lecture. did you have lectures/seminars every day or only a few days a week? Just to add to all the really great responses above, have you heard of Ask a Student?

did you have lectures/seminars every day or only a few days a week? You tend to have one lecture and a two hour seminar each week for your lit modules (although not all lit modules have lectures - in the first year, for instance, reading texts doesn’t have lectures whereas literature in history does) and CW modules are usually two hour workshops/seminars each week.

I was wondering if anyone who is doing/has completed this undergrad course could tell me how many contact hours they had in each year? There’s not an exact answer as it depends on what you’re studying each semester. On average two are going to be lit modules and one CW (although as you go on lit modules often have creative-critical assessments).
